You can’t really say that any one person or group “invented” punk, but when you think about the earliest bands who pioneered it, the name Death typically does not come to mind. And yet, these four Black teenagers in Cleveland definitely seem to have made their own brand of punk music before anyone else did. The documentary explains how their one album, …For All the World to See, came together, shone brightly—and then disappeared.
