Commentary

Generally speaking I am avoiding the area of young adult literature because I tend to defer to the experts (e.g. my wife) on the subject. However, Feed deserves a special mention. M. T. Anderson’s protagonist is a bored teenager who meets a girl at a party on the moon—and doesn’t know what to make of her. A futuristic dystopia that is not like any other, with a story that is deeply human. We may not live in the world of The Feed just yet, but we’re getting close.

Notes

The audiobook is also award-winning and well worth a listen.
