A young nun in post-WWII Poland is about to take her final vows when she is asked about an aunt that she didn’t even know she had. This sets her on a quest for identity outside the convent walls that goes in many unexpected directions. A minimalist gem, with great use of silence and achingly, ravishingly beautiful black and white cinematography.
